       Making History----- 

    The Gospel Garage got its start in late 2007 with a great crew of both men and women who all stay active in the ministry today.  The Gospel garage was inspired of God and given to Pastor Kevin Causey while he was working on his Bachelor's degree in Indiana.  He had always loved being around cars and getting his hands dirty working on them.  After answering the Lord's call into full time ministry he had little time to turn wrenches since a growing family, textbooks and his first pastorate demanded his attention.  He knew that some day God would use his love for cars in ministry as the Gospel garage was born in his mind.  Today Pastor Kevin leads the Florissant Church near St Louis Missouri where a three bay garage houses this new automotive ministry.

    Today there are close to ten volunteer members of the Gospel Garage who meet on the second Saturday of each month @ 1:00 p.m. to change oil and preform basic maintenance for church members and guests.  The garage ministry is currently in a foundation building stage as they raise money, learn to work together, and pray for God's continued guidance toward the future.

Ministry plans:

• "BMW" Basic Maintenance Work: for single parents, widows, and wives whose husbands serve in military.
• "Turn Around" Cars: To take donated automobiles, refurbish them and turn them over to deserving families in need of good transportation.  (1 completed so far)
  OVERHAULIN: To restore a classic automobile with the help of local teenagers.  Hopefully engaging teens that may otherwise have no interest in a church service.  The end product will be a street rod to use for ministering at car shows.
