Florissant Church       

We take seriously the call as AMBASSADORS OF CHRIST to represent Christ to the world beginning with our community.  Over the years Christians have done well to tell others that "Jesus loves you" but we take it a step further by actually showing this love in practical ways.  Sometimes we get strange looks and questions like "Wow!  You mean a church actually does stuff like this?" and "Are you sure you are from a church?"  Reactions like these are what we go for.  When people begin to ask questions we have a great opportunity to share with them the life, strength and purpose we have found in Jesus.

The basics of this ministry approach are to find a need and meet that need.  When the people's protective walls come down then you can share your faith with them more effectively.

SERVANT -- TESTIMONIES:

    I really appreciate the opportunity to do the "Bathroom Patrol" ministry.  I enjoy it alot more than I thought I would when I first heard the idea.  I enjoy the fellowship with the other members of the church and learning more about them and working beside them. 

    It is also a new experience for me to go out into the community and interact with strangers.  I enjoy watching some of the people's expressions of disbelief when we come in and ask if we could clean their bathrooms for free.  I love being a part of our outreach missions and showing the love of Jesus in a practical way. 

    I also love doing the random acts of kindness for strangers.  This shows that in this busy and stressed out world we live in there are people who care about and love them enough to show them concern and kindness, even if it means getting on your hands and knees to clean their toilet.  Tonya
